Fuzzy Brains is a non-profit Italian association, founded in April 2016 in Florence. We are involved in the new technologies field and we contribute actively to spread digital knowledge, focusing on Django platform and Python programming language. Since the start we have been cooperating with local and international technological communities to organize digital literacy events all around Italy. Fuzzy Brains sympathises with the gender gap issue and encourages the participation of women in technology industry.
Django Girls is a free one-day-long workshop. This project aims to involve all the women who'd like to learn more about web development. During the event participants can get in touch with the tools developer work daily with and they can learn how to develop a blog application. 9 hours to get to know Django, Python and to gain the basic skills, supported by a detailed tutorial and personal coaches.
DjangoCon Europe is the most important European Django conference. Fuzzy Brains was in charge to organize 2017 edition, which was held in Florence, Italy from the 3rd to the 7th of April and was hosted by Odeon Cinema and Educatorio di Fuligno. The initiative was a huge success as it gathered together more than 350 developers coming form all over the world. Moreover it was able to involve far away Countries such as Zimbabwe, Namibia. In a few words: an event composed by coding and inclusivity!
